Palau Sant Jordi and Olympic Stadium

I know alot of people at home have asked "do you get a chance to do much site seeing or touring of the city that your in?" Actually I do depending on the practice schedule during the week or when we get off days. So for this blog\video entry I wanted to take you guys on a tour of Palau Sant Jordi and the Olympic Stadium where the 1992 Olympic Games were held. The Stadium is where they held the opening and closing ceremonies. While in between it hosted the Track & Field competitions. Palau Sant Jordi is where some of the indoor sports such as Gymnastics, Tae Kwon Do and Fencing took place. Ive been to alot of tourists sites in Barcelona but this is one that I hadnt had a chance to make it to in the past two years I was over here. So I decided to bring you guys along with me. I really enjoy going to places like this because they are so different and unique and I wanted you all to see how different the scenery is here in a part of Europe. As for the culture here it is very rich in History and Tradition. What you will notice in the pics and videos is that the buildings and statues are very old. Sometimes maybe 100 to 200 years old. For the people here it is so important to preserve the heritage of their country. That is very fascinating to see that these parts of their culture seem to last so long. A few of the pics I included are a famous Bullfighting Ring, Statues, the symbol for the Barcelona Olympics ( the Olympic Ring) and both Palau Sant Jordi and the Olympic Stadium. I hope this blog and video give you some more insight on my life overseas playing ball. I hope you enjoy the video and there will be more blogs and videos coming soon. Im out
